Parkland survivors led hundreds of thousands of protesters as they marched to demand stricter gun laws in America.
- Students in Parkland started a gun-control movement to try to prevent a repeat of their horror. A central focus was the March for Our Lives.
- At the March, Parkland’s Emma Gonzalez gave a speech during which she listed all the things her murdered classmates wouldn’t be able to do, a speech that lasted 6 minutes and 20 seconds, which was the amount of time the gunman was carrying out the shooting.
- There were about 800 marches around the country, including the March in Washington.
