For decades, the US has dropped the same deal on the table for North Korea: give up your nukes, and we’ll lift our sanctions. And, for decades, North Korea’s response was: lift all sanctions FIRST, and then we’ll give up our nukes.
This year was no different, and the US left Vietnam with no deal.
North Korea hacking
While discussions were underway between President Trump and Kim Jong-un, North Korean hackers were attacking the computer networks of more than a hundred companies in the US and around the world.
The attacks targeted banks, utilities and oil and gas companies, according to researchers at the cybersecurity company McAfe.
